About Parent University

Empower, Engage, and Connect Families to Support Student Achievement

Our program is based on three key foundational strategies:

Empower parents through parent learning courses to navigate our resources, engage families to take targeted action to achieve career ready graduates, connect families to district and community resources that improve student achievement. When parents are engaged, students perform better academically, it's that simple.

Since Parent University's launch in 2010, the Parent University Model has successfully been replicated in urban and rural school districts in California.

In 2014, Fresno Unified Parent University received the prestigious Golden Bell Award by the California School Board Association. The 2019-20 school year marks Parent University's 10th year anniversary celebrating parent engagement districtwide and service to over 52,000 families to date.
