Naming process launched for middle school planned in southwest Fresno

The district is seeking recommendations for the official naming of a new middle school in southwest Fresno. The school will be built on an expanded Carver Academy site at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Church Avenue, with construction expected to begin in spring/summer. Following community input, an ad-hoc committee will forward recommendations to the Board of Education for selection of a name. Deadline for nominations is February 3, 2012.
