The persistence and dedication of a licensed vocational nursing student cohort from Fresno Adult School will pay off this week when the students finally graduate. The students started their academic journey in August 2019, with an original graduation date in September 2020, but were delayed by COVID-19 restrictions on clinical patient care.

The virtual graduation ceremony will include Superintendent Bob Nelson as a guest speaker and Jaspreet Birk, MSN, RN, surgical manager at Saint Agnes Medical Center. Students will soon take the exam to become a licensed vocational nurse.

“We are very proud of the time and dedication these students have put into their studies, and the adjustments they had to make because of the pandemic. They are now on their way to meeting their goal of becoming LVNs at a time when health professional are very much needed,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
