What: Malloch Elementary School will hold an opening ceremony for its completed Kindness Garden, including student speakers and entertainment

Led by students’ ideas, Malloch Elementary School has created a Kindness Garden in a littleused area of the school. Students and staff worked together to take a cemented patio area and transform it into a space with colorful umbrellas. The umbrella bases are decorated with rocks painted by students. Students are in charge of putting up and taking down the umbrellas every day. The area is a space that the entire Malloch community is enjoying and where students can practice spreading joy and kindness all year round.
“I love that Malloch has created a comfortable space where they can intentionally practice kindness and establish patterns on how to treat others that will serve them well their entire lives,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
