Fresno High School will unveil a new logo to the community in an in-person news conference. The announcement follows several months of work on a new logo to accompany the traditional Warrior name. Following a call for designs in February, students submitted ideas, concepts and images. In March, an advisory group that included staff, students, alumni and community members identified three logos to share with Fresno High students to vote on. Students voted online April 12-19.

The Fresno Unified Board of Education had voted in December to replace the Native American logo.

“I am excited for this next chapter in Fresno High’s rich history, in which the school is honoring its traditions but celebrating its diversity,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
