What: Workshops on financial aid and California Dream Act applications

When: Various dates September through November (see attached schedules in English, Spanish and Hmong)

Where: High schools throughout the district

As students consider their plans for life after high school, one of their biggest concerns is how to pay for college and/or post-secondary training. To secure financial aid, the most important step for families is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The district will hold workshops at various high schools to help students and families complete the FAFSA and California Dream Act applications. Current seniors may begin applying for FAFSA on Oct. 1.

“We hope that our families will take advantage of workshops in their neighborhoods to accurately complete the FAFSA. We want to support all of our students preparing to move on to college and give them every opportunity for success,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson
