Fresno Unified will host a virtual town hall with local health experts to explain Gov. Newsom’s color-coded four-tier system used to track COVID-19 trends. Experts will explain the data for Fresno County and how the state system relates to the future reopening of schools. The community is invited to participate in the virtual event through Microsoft Live.

The discussion will be led by Superintendent Bob Nelson, district Health Services Director Jane Banks, Fresno County Department of Public Health Assistant Director David Luchini and Dr. John Zweifler, and joined by the district’s labor partners.

“We know that the governor’s color-coded system can be confusing, so we want to connect with the community, alongside our health experts, to just explain that system and what it means for the opening of schools,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
