What: 4,000 coats donated to Fresno Unified for students in need

A donor who wishes to remain anonymous has provided 4,000 coats in all sizes to Fresno Unified for students in need. The coats will be distributed first to students in homeless situations in coordination with the district’s Project ACCESS program. The district is also grateful to the Salvation Army for helping to store the coats.

“Thanks to a very generous donor, 4,000 of our students will have brand-new warm coats this winter. This loving contribution is especially welcome as students are distance learning and not able to be on campuses for many of the supports that they need,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
