Civil Rights activist speaking to students

Fresno Unified School District welcomes the involvement of families and community members in its schools.  There are a number of ways that everyone in our great city can support more than 74,000 students.

Volunteers are coordinated by each school site.  If you are interested in volunteering to help Fresno Unified students, please go to the main office at the school you would like to volunteer.  The school staff can tell you about the volunteer opportunities available and provide you the volunteer application forms.  There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities such as:

  • classroom reading tutor
  • after school programs
  • special events
  • field trip chaperones
  • speak about your business or professional career
  • provide industry-specific lessons and activities
  • provide internships and job experience
  • and many more

To find the school site nearest you, use our school site locator.
