It is an honor and privilege as principal of Lowell Elementary to welcome you to our school website. Our mission is to ensure all students will stay in school on target to be college and career ready graduates. Lowell is committed to creating an accepting culture of high expectations for all learners, collaborating within our community, and embracing diversity; having respect for self and others. At Lowell, we encourage students to excel in academics today and become productive, critical thinkers in our society tomorrow.
Lowell is a Title 1 and Designated school; serving approximately 500 students in Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade. As a Designated school, our instructional day is extended by an additional thirty minutes daily. TK and Kindergarten students are dismissed at 1:50 PM and students in grades first–sixth are dismissed at 2:50 PM. Technology is a big component of our instructional program. It is important that our students are well-versed with using technology to build skills for the future. As a result, every student has access to an individual tablet. In addition to our regular instructional program, students may participate in our After-School Program from 3:00–6:00 PM daily. Enrollment in the After-School Program is based on a lottery system.
Lowell has a very diverse staff with teaching experience ranging from first year to more than twenty years of experience. As a staff, we take pride in working together as Professional Learning Communities focused on student learning and data driven instruction. We are committed to providing an education that will prepare our students to be proficient readers, writers, and mathematicians. We look forward to working with you toward this goal.
I encourage you to visit our school and see the awesome things that are happening at Lowell.
