IDATA Academy (Innovative Design and Applied Technology)

The IDATA Academy is a linked learning academy where students can explore careers in the automotive, construction, and engineering industries.  9th grade students take foundational courses in Intro to Engineering Design and Applied Engineering.  They are also exposed to courses in Biology and English that share interdisciplinary projects with IED and Applied Engineering.  Further information on the benefits of linked learning can be found on the ConnectEd website.

As students advance in the IDATA academy, they select a specific pathway.  High-level Automotive, Construction, and Engineering courses allow students to obtain industry certification and prepare for study in post-secondary programs.  Students who graduated from the IDATA Academy will have an array of options both in the career field and higher education, and will have received the skills necessary to excel in their selected area.
