Principal Johnny Alvarado

Bullard High School Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!  I am very excited and honored to return to FUSD and support the entire Bullard school community with the many experiences and learnings I have gained in the various administrative capacities I have had throughout Fresno County.  Please review important information about registration and the first day of school on the back side of this letter.

It will be a great school year with several additional systems being incorporated to support both academic and behavioral success.  This year our efforts will be supported and valued around three main areas of focus which include a Behavioral Management System, Academic and Co-Curricular success, and Academic and Behavioral Intervention Systems.  The Behavioral Management System will be utilized to provide greater consistency and predictability on behavioral expectations and outcomes.  Our Academic and Co-Curricular success focus will create an environment that honors the district's goals of academic success: participation in the arts, activities, and athletics, while instilling high character and competencies to better succeed in the work force and increasing graduation rates.  Bullard's third focus of Behavioral and Academic Intervention Systems will create a proactive environment that best supports students to successfully meet the district goals.

This journey cannot be done alone and to that end I ask every student, parent, and family member to be a part of the 2019-2020 Bullard Knight theme “Better Together," for together we truly can create a school environment that best serves our students!
