Students at Ewing Elementary School have the opportunity to practice real-world job skills and prepare for success beyond school by working on campus in a variety of jobs. Through the Meaningful Work Program, students will learn about the different types of work needed for a school to function successfully while understanding that their contributions are needed and valued. During the interviews, students will have the opportunity to showcase their strengths and skills.

The Meaningful Work Program at Ewing is part of their Restorative Practices implementation effort, as it exemplifies the elements of Caring Relationships and Meaningful Opportunities to Contribute.

“Though the Meaningful Work Program, Ewing Elementary School continues its commitment to our students’ sense of safety and belonging. This program also increases their sense of self-efficacy as they learn that their strengths and skills are valued in their school community,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
