Dual Language Programs to Learn Spanish and Hmong Available
Registration for transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten will open March 1 for the 2022-23 school year. Families are encouraged to complete registration requirements and enroll their student this spring for a smooth start to the school year, which will begin on Monday, August 15. Research shows that children’s brains and bodies develop rapidly in the first 5 years of life, and that early childhood is the best time to establish a strong foundation for learning.
TK is open to students turning 5 between September 2 and February 2. Children who are 5 on or before September 1qualify for kindergarten.
The district is also pleased to offer dual immersion language programs at select schools. Through dual immersion, students learn to speak, read and write in two languages. Programs are available in Spanish and Hmong.
