Schools that have unique programs and themes.  Selection is administered via a random lottery.

Admission Criteria

Schools that have unique programs and themes. Students selected must meet the approved academic criteria, which may include test scores, grades, and writing samples.

Dual Language Immersion Programs

Instruct students to speak, read, and write in two languages. There are choice Dual Language Immersion Programs, which are listed on the Transfers Request Form, and there are site based Dual Language Immersion Programs.

Incoming Inter-District Transfer Request

If student lives within the boundaries of Fresno Unified School District and/or Parent/Guardian works within the boundaries of Fresno Unified School District, see all other transfer applications above.

If student does not meet any of the criteria previously stated and desires to attend a Fresno Unified School District school, the Inter-District Transfer Request allows students that reside within the boundaries of a school district other than Fresno Unified School District to attend a school with Fresno Unified School District.

 *Current Year Requests: final decision is provided to the parents within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of the request

*Future Year Requests: final decision is provided no later than 14 calendar days following the beginning of the school year for which enrollment is sought

Outgoing Inter-District Transfer Request

If parent/guardian resides within the Fresno Unified School District boundaries and requests for student to attend a school district other than Fresno Unified School District.

Revoking Student Transfers

Intradistrict and Interdistrict transfers, including magnet school placements, could be subject to revocation if it is determined that a student has violated a condition of the transfer.  The principal, in consultation with the Transfers Department, may revoke a transfer at the close of a reporting period, if the student fails to meet any one of the conditions while in attendance at the receiving school:

      1. Grades in keeping with the student's ability;
      2. Satisfactory school citizenship; or
      3. Satisfactory​ attendance, including promptness in arriving to school and classes during the day.
