Classified Laterals
To apply for a lateral position, a Classified Employees’ Transfer Request form must be filled out and submitted to Human Resources. Classified Employees’ Transfer Request forms can be located in the Human Resources office or on the Human Resources Website. Transfer requests are kept on file for up to one year.
 
Certificated Laterals
To apply for a lateral position, you must contact the administrator whose name appears on the contact list for the position you are interested in to set up an appointment.

An application will need to be submitted online to apply for summer school all district and non-district personnel. Any additional questions or concerns pertaining to FUSD’s summer school program should be directed to the Summer School office at (559) 248-7560.

View types of Leaves of Absence

Information on the types of leaves offered by Fresno Unified School District can be found on the Human Resources website. Leaves can only be taken by permanent employees of FUSD. Substitute employees will need to either make themselves “unavailable” or resign with the district if they plan on not working for an extended period of time.

Please log on to: www.ctc.ca.gov and then click on the link in the middle of the page titled “Renew/Apply Online.” Once renewed, send a copy of your credential to the Human Resources Department to be placed in your personnel file. You may call the Credentialing Desk at 457-3503 for more information or with any additional questions regarding your credential.

Payment for fingerprinting can be made either by cashier’s check or money order. No other forms of payment will be accepted.

Yes. As an employee of Fresno Unified School District you are allowed to submit an unemployment claim to the Employment Development Department (EDD). However, it is at the discretion of the EDD whether you will be awarded any unemployment benefits.

Resignation
  • To resign with Fresno Unified School District a Notification of Resignation/Exit Interview form must be submitted to Human Resources and to your Supervisor.
  • The form can be located in the Human Resources office or downloaded from the Human Resources website. Download the resignation form.
  • Gather all FUSD assets, such as; keys, cell phones, computer, files, etc… and turn them in to your Supervisor.

Retirement

  • To retire with Fresno Unified School District a Notification of Resignation/Exit Interview form must be submitted to Human Resources and to your Supervisor.
  • The form can be located in the Human Resources office or downloaded from the Human Resources website. Download the resignation form.
  • Gather all FUSD assets, such as; keys, cell phones, computer, files, etc… and turn them in to your Supervisor.

  • Contact the appropriate retirement company to inform them of your retirement:

The deadline for classified employees to submit transcripts is June 30th. The deadline for certificated employees to submit transcripts is August 31st. Any transcripts received after the deadline date will not affect your salary placement until the following year.
