Book an Experience with Fresno Unified School District College & Career Readiness using SetMore

Fresno Unified Nutrition
Maintenance Centers

Sectors: Building & Construction Trades; Transportation; and Hospitality, Tourism, & Recreation

On this experience, students will get to learn the inner workings of at least four departments: food services, transportation, welding, carpentry. The students are split and taken on tours through the Nutrition Center where food for 70,000 students across the District is freshly cooked, packaged, and shipped to each school site daily. Students will also learn about the transportation efforts to transport students to and from school and the jobs required to keep the playgrounds, fields and facilities safe for use. Who knows, maybe your students will be part of a taste testing of future meals.

Note: This experience is "Outdoor" and includes walking. Please alert your students to wear shoes and appropriate clothing for the forecast.
