College and Career Readiness

The College & Career Readiness Department (CCR) coordinates the work of all Counseling, Career Technical Education and Extended Learning to provide instructional resources, information, materials, and support. It is an aligned system that begins in elementary school and connects to our higher education partners. Through targeted counseling services, after school and summer programming, and a reshaped and revitalized role of Career Technical Education (CTE), Fresno Unified will create an engine of education reform, as well as workforce and economic development, for our community. CCR will emphasize career awareness, exploration and preparation; to include implementation of coherent and integrated Linked Learning Pathways; rigorous academic courses; demanding technical course; work-based learning opportunities; student support; and a focus on creating meaningful, sustainable partnerships with all our stakeholders. Our focused work will provide enhanced options for ALL our students and ultimately fulfill the Fresno Unified School District mission of Preparing Career-Ready Graduates.
