Welcome and Introductions – Chair Julie Wong welcomed everyone and reminded everyone to respect all views from everyone in the room.  

Roll Call

Ivan Flores, CAC Secretary – Business:  Roll call: 38 Present in person/ 11 online  Quorum: 13 members are present

Previous Months Minutes

June minutes were presented.  Motion to accept: Katrina Lopez/2nd: Amy Aoki – Yeas: 11 / Nays: 0

Old Business, New Business (Membership) – No old business and there were no applications for new membership.

Family Engagement Activity/Celebration: Amy A. shared that her children did well at the Extended School Year Fresno Chaffee Zoo activity.  After an initial challenging day he had a great time.  Kathy E. shared that student with Orthopedic Impairment needs learned to walk.  Cara F. shared about Alternative Communication device successes.

The Community Advisory Committee on Special Education, or CAC, invites you to participate in our monthly in-person meeting at Parent University. The address is 850 N. Blackstone Ave., Fresno, CA 93701.

  • Both Spanish and Hmong interpretation will be provided
  • Refreshment will be served. 
  • Childcare will be provided as well.

If you cannot make the CAC meeting in person you can attend the meeting on Microsoft Teams. Please note that the online meeting will be in English only. Spanish and Hmong Interpretation will be provided in person.
