Free Flight: Teams of 2 students will pilot a drone to complete a predetermined mission in a 5-minute time frame. One student flies the drone as a pilot, and the other student guides the pilot as an observer. The drone must fly the mission and complete a set of objectives.

Autonomous Flight: Teams of 2 students will program a drone to complete a predetermined mission. The course will be given to coaches before the event for students to pre-program their drones. They must complete the mission and return to the launchpad to finish.
