Fresno Unified DRIFT

Club members will train for the Annual Unified Scholastic Drone Racing Association (USDRA) competition at the end of the school year. This club will enforce the importance of safety protocols related to drone flying. Members will also learn local and national drone usage and racing laws, including no-fly zones, height restrictions, and registration requirements.  

Club members will learn the principles of flight, including lift, thrust, drag, and gravity.  They will also learn how drones maneuver through the air and the role of different control surfaces in achieving stable flight.  They will practice takeoffs, landing, hoovering, and basic maneuvers, gradually progressing to more advanced techniques.
