Fresno Unified eSports League

Welcome to FUeL

Fresno Unified Student Engagements has teamed up with Fresno Unified’s Technology Department to develop an esports league to bring focus to a new lucrative and developing industry. An esports league will help foster curiosity with technology, and provide direct STEAM career pathways.

The league will be comprised of teams involving Fresno Unified School District’s high schools. Teams will compete in weekly online scrimmages which will help in seeding them for the main tournament. The spring tournament will also allow other school districts to compete against FUeL teams.

Esports is much more than a club. According to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), currently, there are more than 240 colleges and universities in the United States and Canada actively recruiting and offering more than $15 million in scholarships for Esports athletes — universities like UC Irvine, Indiana Tech, and the University of Utah to name a few. The opportunities for college scholarships are growing each year. Like the Personal Computer, Esports gaming is an engagement opportunity that is dynamic and growing every day.
