Digital Citizenship
What is Digital Citizenship?
Digital citizenship refers to the responsible use of technology by anyone who uses computers, the Internet, and digital devices to engage with society on any level.
In today’s digital world, our students can only be successful in college and career if they obtain a solid foundation of digital citizenship. This competency is also called out in our district-adopted Graduate Profile.
Below you will find resources including lessons and online activities, to teach digital citizenship in grades K-12.

Cyber Safety Instruction
As part of the revised Children’s Internet Protection Act, effective July 1, 2012, all school districts must educate students about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking sites and in chat rooms, and cyberbullying awareness and response.
In the month of October, we will be providing instruction to all students about Cyber-Safety. This page provides you with resources you may use to prepare a lesson that will give your students the necessary information on how to be better digital citizens.
Prepare for Cyber Safety Week in October
