Microsoft Stream is an app within Office 365 that is similar to YouTube. It provides a platform to upload and share videos to users in the district or share to specific users privately. It can also be used to create screen recordings and stores Microsoft Teams meeting recordings. This app should only be used to share video within our organization – the videos cannot be shared publicly.


Stream Classic Videos Migrating to New Locations

Stream Classic will be sunsetting on May 15, 2024. We are excited to share that your Stream videos have been migrated to OneDrive or to new SharePoint Sites. Here’s what you need to know:

Video destinations depend on how the videos were uploaded to Stream Classic. The table below outlines the video types and their destinations.

Original Stream Classic Videos Migrated Stream Video Location
Videos Uploaded to an Office 365 Group (Team) or Stream Group New SharePoint Site named after the Group
Videos Uploaded to a Company Wide Channel New SharePoint Site named Stream Company Wide
Videos uploaded outside of groups or channels Your OneDrive in a folder called Stream Migrated Videos

 

Stream Classic links will forward to the new video location for a limited time. Please update any direct links you created to your videos over the next two months.
