Generative AI for Teachers

Generative AI takes artificial intelligence to the next level by providing ways to create content and be a personal thinking partner. Educators can use generative AI as a teacher assistant to enhance lessons by suggesting student task ideas and creating lesson resources. Teachers can also generate dynamic class activities that reach the depth and rigor of standards and personalize learning to support diverse learners. The tools herein are suggested for all teachers who are beginning to explore generative AI within the instructional planning process.

Microsoft Copilot

copilot

Microsoft Copilot is an AI powered tool that helps you with your everyday work and life needs. Copilot is available to all staff and can be used to create text, conduct chats, and even create images. Teachers can use Copilot as a thinking partner to plan any aspect of instruction and student learning.

You may have noticed that Copilot is now integrated into the Microsoft Edge browser and can be opened on any web page. You can ask complex questions, find comprehensive answers, get summarized information, and find inspiration.

IMPORTANT: Never put sensitive information about yourself or your students into AI tools!
