BitLocker Recovery Key Instructions

For added security, the district is implementing BitLocker encryption. This means that your district devices’ storage will now be encrypted with a unique key per device. The authentication can be found by logging into Microsoft’s online portal for your user profile. Instructional video at the bottom of the page.

*Please do not share your BitLocker Encryption Key with others or share in an IT ticket*

How to recover the BitLocker Encryption Key:

Step 1: Open your Internet Browser and go to http://go.fresnou.org/mydevices

Step 2: Sign in with your district email and password

Step 3: Once logged in, navigate to the left-hand side and select Devices

Step 4: On the following devices page, you will see all the devices that you are signed in under within the district. This can help ensure that you understand where you are currently signed in

Step 5: Click on the down arrow on the far right under a device to view the BitLocker Recovery Key. This key will be used to remove BitLocker from the device.

Step 6: Once View BitLocker Keys is clicked, a window will appear on the right side of the screen. This window will prompt you to view the available BitLocker keys that are set up on your machine.
