OUR FOCUS ON LITERACY
Fresno Unified School District’s Every Child Is A Reader literacy plan will ensure all students learn to read by the end of first grade. The District’s seven regions have created literacy plans to address students’ unique needs. Each plan is designed to include three pillars: high-quality instruction, interventions, and parent and community partnerships. While each regional plan has unique attributes based on input from our school communities, all plans are aligned with the foundational reading skills, progress monitoring using quantitative data, and the financial support necessary to meet the needs of our school sites. Our public facing literacy plan documents are linked below in three languages: English, Hmong, and Spanish.
