Job | I am interested in applying for a position with FUSD, how do I proceed? | Go to FUSD Job Application Website An online application must be completed. The application can be found on the Human Resources website. If you have submitted an application in the past, please use the user name and password established when your online account was first created. If you have never submitted an application online, please click on the Create New Account button to create a user account and begin the application process. |
General | How do I apply for summer school? | An application will need to be submitted online to apply for summer school all district and non-district personnel. Any additional questions or concerns pertaining to FUSD’s summer school program should be directed to the Summer School office at (559) 248-7560. |
General | How do I find information on the different types of leaves available to FUSD employees? | HR Manual Section HR4109 Leaves link Information on the types of leaves offered by Fresno Unified School District can be found on the Human Resources website. Leaves can only be taken by permanent employees of FUSD. Substitute employees will need to either make themselves “unavailable” or resign with the district if they plan on not working for an extended period of time. |
General | How much do fingerprints cost and what forms of payment are accepted? | The fingerprinting fees are as follows: $50.00 – FUSD Volunteers $68.00 – FUSD Employees/Coaches/Charter Employees/Volunteers/Vendors Payment for fingerprinting can be made either by cashier’s check or money order. No other forms of payment will be accepted. |

Employee | How do I apply for a lateral position? | Download Classified Lateral Transfer Request form Classified Laterals To apply for a lateral position, a Classified Employees’ Transfer Request form must be filled out and submitted to Human Resources. Classified Employees’ Transfer Request forms can be located in the Human Resources office or on the Human Resources Website. Transfer requests are kept on file for up to one year. Certificated Laterals To apply for a lateral position, you must contact the administrator whose name appears on the contact list for the position you are interested in to set up an appointment. |
Employee | How do I change my address? | For Address Changes, please make the change online through Employee Self Service by visiting go/lawson within the Fresno Unified network. You cannot get to Lawson outside of the network. If you have any questions, please contact the Employee Service Center at (559)457-3480. |
Employee | How do I renew my credential? | Please log on to: www.ctc.ca.gov and then click on the link in the middle of the page titled “Renew/Apply Online.” Once renewed, send a copy of your credential to the Human Resources Department to be placed in your personnel file. Employee | How do I stop my current direct deposit? | Modify your Direct Deposit information through Employee Self Service by visiting go/lawson within the Fresno Unified network. Employee | I am an employee of Fresno Unified School District. May I apply for unemployment? | Yes. As an employee of Fresno Unified School District you are allowed to submit an unemployment claim to the Employment Development Department (EDD). However, it is at the discretion of the EDD whether you will be awarded any unemployment benefits. |

Employee | If I am a new hire, how many days do I have to turn in my transcripts for salary placement? | All new hires to FUSD have thirty (30) days to submit transcripts to Human Resources for salary placement. |
Employee | What is the deadline to submit transcripts to Human Resources for salary advancement? | The deadline for classified employees to submit transcripts is June 30th. The deadline for certificated employees to submit transcripts is August 31st. Any transcripts received after the deadline date will not affect your salary placement until the following year. |

Employee | Who do I contact about employment verification? | All Verification of Employment is completed by The Work Number. Please refer to the Employment Verification section of the Human Resources website for full instructions. |
Employee | Who do I give my doctor’s note to? | Submit your doctor’s note to the HR Leaves Desk at hrleavesdesk@fresnounified.org. The school site/department does not need to receive a copy of the note. However, it is the employee’s responsibility to inform their school site/department of their absence. Notes can also be submitted to Human Resources by mail, fax, or intra-district mail. |
Employee | Who do I submit transcripts for salary advancement? | If you are a classified employee, submit your transcripts to the Classified Analyst in Human Resources. If you are a certificated employee, submit your transcripts to the Certificated Analyst in Human Resources. |
