Developer Fees

The current Developer Fee rate increase was approved by the Fresno Unified School District Board of Education on June 15, 2022, by Resolution 21-45 and became effective August 15, 2022.

$4.79 per square foot for residential construction
$0.78 per square foot for commercial/industrial construction

Every two years, the California State Allocation Board determines an adjustment of the maximum developer fees per Gov. Code Sec. 65995. The adjustment is based on the change in Class B construction cost index. The most recent change in fees resulted in a maximum residential fee of $5.17 per square foot and maximum commercial/industrial fee of $0.84 per square foot. Fresno Unified School District continues to levy the 2022 Developer Fee rates listed above, of $4.79 per square foot for residential construction and $0.78 per square foot for commercial construction.
