Sunnyside High School
Sunnyside High School offers multiple CTE pathways. From ag and construction to health care and education careers, there are a wide array of options available to Sunnyside students to discover their passion and find a career they enjoy.
CTE Pathways
Agriscience and Technology
A Linked Learning pathway developing essential career preparation skills through science and engineering, as well as personal leadership opportunities within the exciting industry of Agriculture, Construction, Manufacturing, and Technology. The Sunnyside agriscience program also charters a Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter and participates in local, state, and national workshops and competitions.
Health Sciences
A 4-year pathway offering students the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in sports medicine, fitness, and rehabilitation. Students who complete the pathway will have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications in the field and work alongside our athletic programs supporting the health and safety of Sunnyside athletes.

Multimedia and Marketing
A 4 year pathway examining the use of photography and graphics in the marketing and design industry sectors. Students photograph, edit, and publish the Sunnyside Yearbook and also support marketing of various clubs and activities across campus. Upon completion of the pathway students will be Adobe Certified.
Video Production Academy
A 3-year pathway exploring broadcasting and cinematography in the arts and media industry sectors. Students will produce school broadcasts and community projects. Upon completion of the pathway, students will be Certified Production Assistants and receive additional Adobe certifications.
Teacher Academy
Teacher Academy develops and supports high school students through their journey of becoming quality educators. It exposes students to a career in education by offering real-world learning opportunities that allow students to learn through meaningful work-based experiences including internships, employment, and/or school-based enterprises. This program outlines the steps to becoming a successful educator and provides a clear bridge to employment. By participating in the Teacher Academy program, students:
- Can earn college units
- Are eligible for a position as a paraprofessional with FUSD upon high school graduation
- Gain field experience working with children
- Participate in community service learning
- Have an opportunity to take the NCLB and CBEST exams
- Receive priority consideration for Fresno Unified’s Pipeline to Teaching Programs
Doctors Academy
A career-oriented and academically rigorous program in partnership with UCSF Fresno, with the primary goal of supporting students who aspire to be health professionals by introducing them to a series of medical topics, college and health workshops, guest speakers, and various other components that will support them in their medical career.
