Q: Who should I talk to regarding alternative programs for my student?
A: Start at the comprehensive high school in your home area zone. The school can provide detailed alternative education options. Once a school is identified, the comprehensive high school will complete a referral to the ERC department.
Q: What types of referrals or request is submit to ERC department?
A: Academic, Behavior, Exit to Charter, Familial Circumstances, Medical, Safety, Social Emotional, and Fresno Adult School. Additional support programs includes Home Hospital Instruction and Short Term Independent Study.
Q: How long is the referral process and when will I find out?
A: Once referral is received by Educational Resource Center (ERC) department, it could take approximately 24-48hrs to review and process. ERC will then contact parent/guardian for placement.
