The district will launch a survey today asking the community to submit suggestions for naming the new alternative education campus under construction at 10th Street and Ventura Avenue. The deadline to submit names is May 7, 2021.
The campus, expected to open in August 2023, will provide a customized academic experience focused on high standards, innovative programs, flexible schedules and instructional/social emotional supports. The new school will also feature technology integration, morning/afternoon courses, dual enrollment college courses, career readiness, credit attainment options and project-based learning.
“We are excited to invite the community to share their ideas for naming this new school, which will offer a variety of personalized services and programs to help students succeed,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
