Students at Duncan Polytechnical High School now have a new, 15,920 square-foot building for health-related career pathway learning. The Medical Academy of Science and Health (MASH) building houses the certified nursing, rehabilitation therapy and pharmacy technician pathways. The new building was specifically designed for these programs, accommodating more industry standard equipment for up-to-date learning and increased opportunities for students. Through Duncan’s MASH programs, students can graduate with certifications to go directly to work, as well as take dual-enrollment courses for college credit.

Funding for the $11.7 million building came from a $3 million Career Technical Education Facilities Program grant the district was awarded and local Measure M and X dollars.

“With the completion of this beautiful building, Duncan continues to stay ahead of the curve in providing students with the real-world, hands-on learning that our students need to compete for industry jobs immediately,” said Superintendent Bob Nelson.
