You are right, we should be titled to wear any color we choose, but when you think about Dress Code, it is there for a reason. Imagine if we were able to wear certain colors that we cant wear now? How do you think that will effect not only the students but the whole school as one? It will cause tension problems between students and their safety at jeapordy. It will on;y cause more problems on school grounds and that will cause more servaillence on school, limiting us to do things. But im not against your questioning. But also think about the positive and negative of the issue.

I can only speak for myself when I say that I am extremely affended by the way our dresscode turned out this year. No disrespect to the staff that agrees with it, but the whole no red thing has really gone overboard! I could understand the no solid red rule but now we can't wear any at all. If the gang issues are so bad at Hoover then why not just take the problems (certain people) out? I feel like they're basicallly saying to us that if we wear red we look like we're in a gang. Most of my friends agree and I think it's sad to see the teachers wasting their class time just to send a student to the office for a red heart on their shirt! Red just happens to be may favorite color, so why wouldn't I like to wear it? I think I can wear red and not be a gang member at the same time. I honestly think that if they want the students to have respect for them they shouldn't make the majority of us feel like what color we wear is wrong. Like I said before, solid red I can understand, but o red at all is getting too complicated for everybody.
