I would like to welcome everyone to the 2009 Hoover Patriots Athletics Year!  Hoover is off to a fast start this Fall with Football, Girls Volleyball, Boys & Girls Water Polo, Boys & Girls Cross Country, Girls Tennis, & Girls Golf.  Come on out and support your favorite team!

The new all weather track at Hoover is nearing completion!  The surface is done and looks incredible!  We are waiting for the lines and numbers to be painted, the lights to go up and the grass to be re-seeded.  Come on by and check it out when you get a chance.

Due to the construction of the new track, we have moved the freshman football games from Hoover to McLane Stadium.  Here is the schedule for the home games:
  • Thursday, Sept. 17, 3:00 vs Madera South
  • Thursday, Oct. 1, 3:00 vs SJM
  • Thursday, Oct. 22, 3:00 vs Clovis North
  • Friday, Nov. 6, 3:00 vs Reedley
  • Thursday, Nov 12, 5:00 vs Bullard

There is no charge to attend to the freshman games.

The Hoover Cheer Squad competed at the Clovis Pep Classic yesterday. This was their 1st competition in many years and it ended very nicely. The squad took the 1st Place trophy in the "Varsity Show Cheer Co-ed Division". Congrats to all the team members who participated and to Coach Loewen, Coach Sortini and Coach Brannon (for all her extra help)!!!

Senior Recognition for all games will start approximately 20 minutes prior to the start of the game.

This morning at 7:00AM, Eric Kendricks signed his National Letter of Intent with UCLA.  We are very proud of Eric's accomplishment here at Hoover and look forward to him competing at UCLA and in the PAC 10.  Here is what the UCLA Athletics page has to say about Eric:
