Wireless Access Points

Add centrally managed high-speed wireless to your classrooms for $200*

One Cisco access point can typically service two adjacent classrooms, for less than $400 per access point, *which works out to about $200 per classroom.   Managed wireless access points are the key to reliable wireless networking on your campus. Click here to read more about the reasons why you want centrally managed wireless.

FUSD configures these access points with four Wireless LANs:  FUSD (unsecured), FUSD-STAFF (WPA2 encrypted, using Active Directory to sign-in) FUSD-VOICE (dedicated for future Wifi telephones like the cisco 7921) and FUSD-Projector, reserved for wireless projectors to connect to the campus local area network.

These managed access points are 'plug and play' -- no special configuration is required, just plug them into power and the FUSD network right out of the box, and they'll be automatically provisioned for use.

Part Number: Cisco AIR-LAP1131AG-A-K9,  price $406 each, LWAPP access point 802.11 a/b/g  (11 - 54 Mbit/sec)
