Day 3: Multimedia Workshop Phase 2
Working with Video:
Using video can be an effective way to convey concepts and meaning in a classroom. It can also be a great vehicle for students to demonstrate their understanding of the curriculum content. Ergo, it is important for instructors to be aware of the various tools available for digital video production.
Take a few minutes to view the following sample videos created with the online Animoto service:
Assignment 1: Go to animoto.com and setup an account. Use the free promotional code "discovery" to get a free account with full access.
Assignment 2: Create an Animoto video using your own images from your computer account or from our picture library here.
Assignment 4: Create a Jing screencast tutorial designed for your students to view. In your screencast, demonstrate "How to post a blog to your MySite". Upload your screencast to your Windows Live account. In addition, add it to the Course Projects folder.

Assignment 5: Create a full-motion video or animated slideshow with Windows Movie Maker. For assistance you can watch video tutorials here.
Assignment 6: Upload your video project to your My Site in the Shared Documents. In addition, add it to the Course Documents folder.
Create a Podcast:
Assignment 7: Go to podOmatic.com and sign up for a free account. For help, watch the podOmatic video tutorial here.
Assignment 8: Upload at least two multimedia projects to podOmatic.com
Assignment 9: Post your first episode on podOmatic.
Assignment 11: Visit Teachertube.com and browse the various educational videos available for playback. This is also a great service for posting your videos online.
