Welcome to FUSD Career Technical Education

The Career Technical Education Department supports teachers and students in middle school and high schools.  Students have access to Career Pathway courses representing Agriculture, Business, Health Careers, Home Economics Careers & Technology, and Industrial Technology. Federal funding from the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act provides focus on improvement of vocational and technical programs for grades 7 through 12.  Pathway courses include curriculum aligned to state frameworks and content standards, All Aspects of the Industry, and competency-based applied learning.  These programs help students develop a combination of competencies and skills necessary for employment and lifelong learning

Mission Statement:

To prepare students for the careers of the 21st century through relevant, rigorous, and engaging curriculum which integrates academic and occupational instruction.

Preparing Career Ready Graduates:

To assist the district's mission of preparing career ready graduates, the Superintendent commissioned the Commission on Workplace Readiness and Career Technical Education (CTE).
